How much is the rent plus utilities per month?

My boyfriend and I are considering moving to an apartment during the summer. I will be 17 and be 19, which now goes to college and I will start next fall. We both have work, work about 25-30 hours a week and works maybe 20-25. I get paid 6.75 an hour and for about 7.00 an hour. I was curious however, would able to pay rent and utilities, this being our first apartment that none of us has a solid estimate of how much it cost per month. Or how much food, toiletries, kitchen utensils, etc. will cost. Please give me your help! A list of some kind, with a notch all small-Nacks I need to buy would be helpful too. Thanks! I found an apartment that costs 260 a month, is very near campus, so I would not do much driving, except on weekends and trips to the grocery store. The school provides 15 meals per week not including late week.

There is no concrete answer to your question. Rates of rent, utilities, etc., vary considerably by area. Utilities include gas, electricity, telephone, cable. Additional costs may include a car payment, gasoline, cell phone, insurance for both the apartment (insurance tenant) and the car, groceries, clothing and incidentals, such as personal and household expenses. Without a car, you have to take into account transport costs to and from work and school for both. Also have to consider medical expenses because her parents insurance will not cover it after leaving. I guess I will have to seek better-paying jobs with more hours per week in order to have "fun" money. If you have to pay tuition for college in the higher so that ... Well, well. Better start saving as much money as you can at the moment. The need for security deposit in an apartment and a storage on your electricity, gas and cable.
