Will it work?Idea for making my own rollout pantry using metal utility cart with wheels?

We are ordering new kitchen cabinets and I need pantry space. I love the expensive rollout pantries that are installed in tall pantry cabinets and then a cabinet front is attached. The cabinets we are ordering will probably have front faces on them, rather than frameless. I'm thinking of buying a utility shelf i saw at Sams and adding metal railing so food won't fall off shelves. Then I could hide it in a cabinet in which I have cut the bottom out of. I could then glue the toekick and the front cabinet door panel to it. Then I can slide it out. I am trying to avoid paying hundreds of dollars for one. Your thoughts? Has anyone done anything like this?

Interesting solution - Sounds like something I'd come up with. I love a person with lots of frugal ideas. Try it and see.
